i know they have not played any good teams, but do you not think the basketball team deserves a little credit. they do have the third highest scoring average in the country.

they are at least fun to watch.

Haven’t seen them, but I don’t diagree. They HAVE to be much more Exciting to watch than the scrappy, defensive oriented, non-scoring Rod Barnes teams. Although he won a bunch of games, it was NEVER pretty. I did have to stomach much of those IN LIVING COLOR.

They could win the West this year. I personally think they’ll be the surprise of the SEC– and one of the top surprises of the country. The national media loves Andy Kennedy.

I hope you are right tc, but I’m afraid we are getting a false sense of hope with the horrible schedule we’ve played. I think the lack experience will catch up to us in places like Coleman Coliseum, The Hump, and other stops along the SEC road. We didn’t get picked last in the West by the media for nothing. Then again, it wouldn’t be the first time we were picked to finish last and won the West. I think that was the case on ALL of our Western Division crowns from the late 90’s.

i just thought about it, we have not played a road game. after a loud away game against a good team will give us a better idea of how good this team is

We’ll have a great idea of what this team is after this Saturday’s game against NM Lobos. They’re 6-0, and received votes this week in the AP poll. I don’t know much about them, but I have seen recent articles talking about how good they are. If we beat this team, it could definetly tell us alot about how we’ll stack up against most of our SEC foes.

New Mexico may tell a lot about where this team is. Right now this is a team with lots of talent but gets that deer-in-headlights look when someone has to step up. Questions of chemistry and leadership are still unanswered and will be for a while. Right now this bunch goes through dangerous lapses.
