Based on the excitement that you can sense around the new direction of the football program, plus the fact that Eli Manning and Patrick Willis — the two most popular 21st Century Ole Miss players — will be around for pre-game activities, Ole Miss officials think they have a chance at a record attendance for the spring game. The current record of 27,215 was set when Eli was heading into his junior season.
How many of you within a reasonable drive (and it’s up to you to determine reasonable) will attend the Red-Blue game? Will the weather be a factor, and if so, how much?

Two distinguished former Rebs for eulogy. Where is The Deuce? I Can’t be there physically; but will be there in spirit. I just hope this is not an”obit” eulogy but the new birth. Remember the famous words of an Old warrior, “I shall return”. Go Rebels.

I live in Fulton which isn’t but like an hour away so that’s definitely reasonable. I’m going to try and go. Not so much just to see what Nutt has done with the team, I want to see what Snead can do. I watched him his freshman year with Texas when they played Kansas State and he looked impressive, better than McCoy in my opinion. I also want to see what Cordera can do now that he is given a chance.
One question though PA, isn’t this going to be broadcast over CSS? I think I heard something about it but I’m not sure if it’s live or if it will even be available on tape delay. That would be something good to know though if people can’t attend the game for various reasons.

Jimmy, I think you can safely say you’re outside the “reasonable drive” radius.
Beef, seems like I heard rumor of a CSS broadcast, but I’m told by media relations folks here that there will be no CSS coverage.

PA, it would take me and my old 73 Nova some time to make it up that Hwy 45. I know you have a busy week-end ahead, enjoy. I am just about to tune on rebel baseball on gamewatcher. This series with LSU will tell us if the Rebels have the “right stuff”.
I really think this Red-Blue game is important to us Reb fans and all. We are going to see what Coach Nutt’s system will be like in the fall. We know that he is a ball control coach. I think he will work out good for Ole Miss.

Sorry I cant be there. I am in St. Louis this weekend for my wife’s grandmother’s 90th birthday. Not too may pages left in her book. Great job as usual PA.

I won’t be making it due to the close proximity to my second child’s birth. Otherwise, with LSU in town for baseball and I’m really excited about the new coaching staff and the direction we SHOULD be going as soon this coming up year……I’m not talking NC or anything, but a legitimate bowl bid I don’t think is out of the question. Tuscaloosa, AL, a place where 92K will be traveling to, would be no problem, even at 3.40/gallon to be “reasonable.” Baton Rouge on the otherhand was outside of the radius.

First post. CSS is running adds the spring game will be on tape delay Saturday at 5pm. I will drive the 50 miles one way. I usually do not attend spring games, but the new staff and new QB is exciting and we are looking forward to the trip.

i will be there with at least 3 other guys. looking forward to seeing how the boys look. i think we had the players last year to make it to a bowl game. all we lacked was a coach that knew what he was doing and i think we have one now. GO REBELS.

i will be there tomorrow as well, as i think that i am well within travelling distance, with the stadium about a 10 or 15 minute walk across campus. i am hoping to see good things tomorrow. also, i hope that pomeranz performs well. we have put a lot of pressure on him the last couple of weeks, and with tomorrows game likely having the biggest crowd of the season, i hope he handles the situation well. we will see, and i am sure the team will be fired up on such a big day. the win was big tonight, and we have shown that we can win with both our pitching and hitting throughout this 8 game win streak.
