After his game-winning blast last night, Tim Ferguson in the lineup at shortstop in the eight hole. That is the only change for Ole Miss.
Drew Pomeranz is pitching against Auburn’s Taylor Thompson. It’s a matchup of Ole Miss’ best starting ERA (3.42) vs. Auburn’s worst starting ERA (6.57).
We’ll see what happens.
What a difference a swing makes, huh. The Rebels are going for a very important series win today. It would be their first series victory since beating LSU April 11-13. Maybe Ferguson’s home run can be a point of origin for some sort of win streak.

As a thank you for his game-winning home run, Ole Miss freshman Tim Ferguson got a pie in the face from his teammates during postgame interviews. It was Ferguson’s third home run of the year.
It was a huge emotion swing and a big win for Ole Miss, which is now 13-12. The Rebels can take another step in their quest for 15 wins at 4 p.m. today. I think 15 gets them in the NCAA tournament.
