LSU will throw freshman right-hander Daniel Bradshaw. He’s 4-5 with a 3.49 ERA and four saves in 49 innings. He’s walked 13, struck out 50 and opponents are hitting .212 against him.
Bradshaw is from West Monroe, La. West Monroe High is one of the bigger schools in Louisiana, but Bradshaw attended Ouachita Christian High School in Monroe.
Ole Miss will throw sophomore left-hander Nathan Baker. He was an SEC starter at the beginning of the season and was the odd man out when freshman Drew Pomeranz was pitching well enough to earn a spot in the weekend rotation.
Baker has been primarily a mid-week starter since then. He’s 3-4 with a 4.21 ERA in 47 innings. He’s walked 18, struck out 38, and opponents are hitting .278 against him.
Baker has not pitched in this tournament, though he did warm up a little earlier Saturday, and it appeared he might relieve Justin Cryer in Game 1.

should be a good game……..i don’t expect miracles out of the rebels after the long day….in my view they’ve probably secured an NCAA bid, which is good enough for me. i’ve got faith in baker. i also think satterwhite would make a nice closer if he’s good to go tomorrow. he was a beast closing out some games last year. i highly doubt we’ll see a low scoring game tomorrow, but i could be wrong.
Go Rebs….
