Brad Locke reports that MSU coach Dan Mullen has hired Frank Wilson, an energetic recruiter on Ed Orgeron’sstaff, and Carl Torbush, who was Billy Brewer’s first defensive coordinator. Wilson coached running backs at Ole Miss and was at Southern Miss this past season.

Kylebuddy, it’s a business. These guys need to work so they can buy things like X-box and game tickets that you like so much. They cared about the Rebels when they were there. They’ll care about the Bulldogs now.

I just hate to see Carl Torbush anywhere but Ole Miss. I thought he was one of the better defensive coordinators in the country when he was on Billy Brewer’s staff. He did more with less than any coach I think I have ever seen. The players seemed to play hard for him. He made great in game adjustments….for example the 1st Egg Bowl under Brewer. MSU and John Bond were running up and down the field on the Rebels early in the game. Torbush made some adjustments….and shut them down until the last drive of the game. That’s when God took over…blocked the field goal with a huge wind gust…and sent the Rebels to the Indedpendence Bowl.

With that line of thinking, did Nutt never care about the Hogs?

Just goes to show you State will still be loosing for the next five years. These guys are gone from Ole Miss because they couldn’t produce. It’s sort of like the Joe Lee Dunn thing. Go ahead and mark a W for OM against Auburn and State for the next few years. I guess the messiah Byrne won’t be the messiah if his picks for BB and FB coaches don’t pan out. As for coaches that care, there has never been a coach anywhere that cared more for a school than Billy Brewer, but he still couldn’t win. COACHING IS A WINNING GAME.

Torbush left UM to be the head man at La Tech. Then was the head man at UNC. But yeah, I wouldn’t want a coach with that experience either. Do you even believe the crap you come up with?

Raleigh, KB doesn’t drink coffee, only those Sonic Rebel Rushes that they serve in the state of Mississippi. Drinking a little too much of the Kool-Aide??? Maybe just a little?

These coaches don’t have loyalty to anybody. Don’t kid yourself. They may have a shred of deep care for their alma mater, but it is very, very deep and hard to find most of the time. Money talks and the rest of the poop walks, the coaching profession fits that to a T.
