Been texting with Andy Kennedy a little bit this morning. Looks like David Huertas will again be a “game time” decision as Ole Miss meets Mississippi State Saturday in the regular season finale.
It’s a pain tolerance thing for Huertas with his bruised foot. Kennedy thought he was going to have Huertas for the Arkansas game after MRI results showed no bone damage.
Probably the time off Wednesday will help — that and the fact that Will Bogan had 16 points and seven assists.
Huertas began the night Wednesday as the SEC’s fifth-leading scorer at 18.5 points a game.

I think Huertas may be better off the bench. He is a notorious slow starter anyway. Winning a road game without him says something even if it was Arkansas.

Generally speaking, Huertas is going to be really good for a half. Would be good to have all hands on deck for State, but it was quite a statement for Ole Miss to handle the unexpected injury news and win.
