BASEBALL: Non-league schedule complete

Rebels pitch well, score enough to beat Jackson State. Can they win enough SEC games to make the two tournaments? Nine games remaining starting this weekend at No. 11 Georgia.

the answer is yes, but barely… this team, for some reason doesn’t seem to have the “intangibles” to consistently win… mix in some key injuries and below average defense and I realistically see the rebels going 4-5 the rest of the way in the regular season — winning 2 on the road and 2 at home… we probably go 1-2 in the SEC Tourney and 2-2 in an NCAA Regional on the road. Final record: 37-26. And then about January I’ll get my annual letter from Mike Bianco telling us how this will be the most talented team we’ve ever had; Omaha, blah, blah, blah…

For the sec tourney, is it the top 8 sec teams overall, or is it the top 4 from each of the 2 divisions?

    Top 8 overall.
