FYI: Today’s Agenda

Tuesday means radio, and today I’ve got Scott Rabalais of the Baton Rouge Advocate coming on as we continue our season-ending spring football tour. Just a couple more shows before we take a summer break. I’m sure Scott will have some Ryan Perrilloux insight as well.

I’m working on a column on Ole Miss tennis coach Billy Chadwick and an advance on the SEC softball tournament, which includes Ole Miss in spite of a 1-17 start in conference play. The Rebels are the eighth-seed and will take on No. 1 seed Florida Thursday in Baton Rouge.

Baseball is off again today. It’s final exam time on campus, and the Rebels will return to practice tomorrow.

This has nothing to do with sports, but it is an important message to those who cook out and used propane. The best to all, Jimmy

    Subject: Propane Exchange tanks…
Hey guys. I was at a meth training/workshop yesterday and there was a
lot of great new information presented. I wanted to let you all know
about one thing that I was not aware of.

Meth cooks are getting the propane tanks from the exchanges at Wal-Mart,
Kroger, etc. and emptying them of the propane. Then, they are filling
them with anhydrous ammonia (which they now have a recipe for by the
way). After they are finished with them, they return them to the store.
They are then refilled with propane and sent back for you and me to buy.
Anhydrous ammonia is very corrosive and weakens the structure of the
tank. It can be very dangerous when mixed with propane and hooked up to
    our grills, etc.

According to our presenter, you should inspect the propane tank for any
blue or greenish residue around the valve areas. If it is present,
    refuse to purchase that one.

Just felt a duty to warn. Have a great weekend.

    Jimmy, thanks for posting.

Will you talk to Nutt today?
Latest talk… so long Chris Strong. Dang those pesky textbooks.

  4. djrebel Says:

Not planning to talk to Nutt today. I hear a lot of rumors on Strong, but I’ve heard nothing official. This is the spring semester, so if he flunks out, unless he bombs in a major sort of way, he should be able to correct things in the summer.
