BASEBALL: Pushing the Bittle Button

It’s crucial to know when to push the Bittle Button. Here’s an opinion piece I had in today’s print edition.

Bittle could be the best pitcher in college baseball. Being the Lance Lynn has not been as good as advertised this year and with Satterwhite’s troubles do you think there is a chance of either of them coming back next year?

Did you hear the State is 7-20 in the SEC?

How is college baseball gonna go on without Ron Polk next year?

  2. djrebel Says:

I don’t think any of them come back. Lynn and Satterwhite will be drafted high enough to go, because so much of the draft is about pro potential rather than college productivity.

Plus, there’s a status thing involved. Players of a certain talent are “expected” to be gone after their junior seasons. Lynn and Satterwhite are such players.
