nice read thanks PA. For what its worth Coach Nutt spoke to about 250 people this morning at a brotherhood breakfast at First Baptist Church in Pontotoc. Unfortunately I wasnt able to attend, but some members of my church did. They said he really seemed to be an upstanding Christian man. I am thankful for that, and just wanted to pass it on.

38652, thanks for posting. I don’t want to dwell on the point, but with Houston there is a big turnaround in the leadership of the program. He’s secure in his decisions, and he’s not afraid to let others have a glimpse of what’s going on.

We’ll have better access — not all access, nor do we need or want all access. That will increase the quality of the information we’re able to bring to readers.

That thing fills up pretty quick. Gregg usually heads that up, and I don’t know exactly how he fills the slots. Go ahead and email him at, and tell him you’re interested. He can give you more details than I can.

Hope all you guys are doing well. I know it has been awhile but these 2 boys and a new job are keeping me from blogging very much. Hopefully I’ll be able to find some time to hit it a bit this fall. PA, were you the guy that voted the Rebs to win the SEC? I know it wasn’t you, but do you know who did? 5th in the West, but a vote to win it all, maybe it’s an Arkansas paper writer that is disapproving of the Nutt handling and Petrino filling? Your thoughts? Sorry if I missed em.

Its good to hear from you again, M4rebs, sounds like you have your hand full for the time being. The best to you and family and success on your new job.

  7. VA Reb Says:

PA, what are you hearing about Trahan…is he going to be eligible? If he’s half as good as advertised, he would help us a lot. Hoping to hear that Powe is cleared…. Thanks, Larry

Matt, good to hear from you bro. Glad things are going well. I did not vote the Rebels No. 1. I have some theories on that, but can’t share. Tell us about the new job? Is it sports talk radio in Tuscaloosa?

Larry, Houston feels good about getting Trahan in, and they certainly need him. We’re figuring a Powe announcement comes this week sometime. It would have to, right? I figure Powe gets in, but you never know what’s around the corner with that deal.

Same company, new position. It is just a different pace of job than I was in. I’m getting used to it though. Most days I wish I were in the Sports’ Talk biz. I just don’t think that would cut it… or the money!!!!
