FYI: Grading the officials

The written test required of SEC officials creates a little anxiety, but by and large the scores are fine. The test is administered in-house.

    I’m surprised they aren’t administered at Bryant-Denny.

“The SEC did not invite back three officials from 2007.” Was the guy who blew the Bama call one of these three?

I thought about that but don’t know.

“He’s great on the court,” a sportswriter said of a college basketball player in a interview with his coach. “But’s how’s his scholastic work?” “Why, he makes straight A’s,” replied the coach. “Wonderful!” said the sportswriter. “Yes,” agreed the coach, “but his B’s are a little crooked.”

If that sorry excuse for a Ref Penn Wagers passes this test and gets invited back for 2008, it would be an absolute travisty. He has blown so many calls in so many BIG GAMES, not including Ole Miss games against so many opponents, but non-Ole Miss involved games. He is pitiful. PA, can you see if they asked him to come back for the 2008 campaign. If so, I may just sell my Ole Miss season tickets. Thanks.
