FOOTBALL: No. 1 Georgia

SEC media dissed the Dogs, putting them second to Florida in the East, but the national coaches didn’t in their preseason Top 25. Wake Forest, who the Rebels face in Week 2 on the road, is No. 23.

My heart goes out , but congrats, to Georgia for this #1 national ranking. They have a tought road to travel in keeping that rating.

Ole Miss on the other hand I feel is in the right position. The only way for them is upward, and that’s what I believe they will do, upward and onward this season.

I agree jwb. I hope we can win at least 6. Maybe with afew breaks we haven’t had in the past I don’t think that 7 is out of the question. What do you think.

  3. djrebel Says:

Seven isn’t out of the question. I think there’s good talent on this team, but they need that talent to perform in all areas. The guys you think are going to be good need to be good. In some areas like linebacker and cornerback there is little no proven depth.

I have previously stated that I believe they will win eight.

Where is Duke’s 1 vote? Did Spurrier not vote this year?

  6. djrebel Says:

Forgot to look for Duke, which is now led by David Cutcliffe. Spurrier caught so much grief for that last year he might have just thought it wasn’t worth the hassle.
