I am anxious to see this Nutt “Wild Rebel” formation in action.
My prediction is eight wins for the Rebs this season. Come on down Memphis State maybe you will be the first victum.
PA, just how healthy is the Rebel team at this stage?

I also see where Traxler has been moved to tight end, an indication of a ball controlled offense.

Be on guard, JB. Looks like Fay could “boomerang” and come right toward ya.

Jimmy, health is only an issue on the DL right now. Ted Laurent is coming back, getting stronger every day, but it’s a weakened bunch with All-SEC types Jerry and Hardy out. They need those guys healthy to be the best defense they can be.

Thanks PA for the update healthwise of the Rebs.
BirdZ: We are on guard in preparation for Fay as it starts it journey across North Florida. According to the 8AM EDT 20 Aug 08 noaa advisory it should be just North of Mobile at 2AM Monday. Rain will be the major problem from this storm. It could spin out some tornadoes. So it look like a wet week-end down here.

I missed it. What is the ‘Wild Rebel’ offense? I am really enjoying the huge amount of informatiion being given this year on player progress.

GA, the Wild Rebel is where Nutt takes what he believes to be one of his most explosive players, lines them up to take a shotgun snap and lets them run the play, whether it’s a run, handoff or pass. The player, in most cases, has the freedom to read and react. Dexter McCluster will be the first choice for the Wild Rebel. At Arkansas Nutt called it the Wild Hog and used Darren McFadden.
