FYI: Still working on the board

Defensive tackle Marcus Tillman had this to say about the new video board at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium.

“Man, it’s amazing, the close ups on people’s faces. You see expressions and everything. With that, I’m kind of waiting on Thursday now before I get a haircut.”

The board was operational for last Saturday’s scrimmage so the players could get used to it in advance of Saturday’s opener against Memphis.

As I type in the media work room right now work is on-going on the back side of the board which is not scheduled to be completed until the second home game, Sept. 13, against Samford. However, the video screen portion of the back side is turned on right now with an American flag waving.

Ultimately there will be the “Ole Miss” in script near the top somewhere.

Marcus don’t get to Hollywooding and forget about the football game that you are playing.

Jimmy, Marcus is one guy you won’t have to worry about show-boating. He is quiet and humble.
