FOOTBALL: Checking in at Vaught-Hemingway

Just getting settled in here. Looks like South Carolina is hanging tough with Georgia, actually leading 7-3. Georgia just reached the 1 and failed to cross the goalline. Georgia just knocked ina  field goal and is down 7-6 at the half. The Rebels have walked through but haven’t goten out on the field yet. Tenneessee won big, though Jonathan Compton was less than sharp at quarterback. David Cutliffe got another win at Duke, which beat Navy and is now 2-1. I’m still trying to figure out why Gary Pinkel needed to run a  fake field goal when Missouri led Nevada 45-17 late in the third.

Kickoff for Ole Miss and Samford is about 1 hour, 50 minutes out.

It did work like a charm. It was scary how well-executed that play was.
