FOOTBALL: Seeking Grove pics

Some game days I pass through the Grove before going upstairs, but I don’t generally get there in time for the players’ walk or stay late enough for the pep rally at the stage. If anyone takes pictures in the Grove Saturday, email one or two to parrish.alford@djournal.com. I’ll try to get a couple up on the blog before the game. Remember this is a family friendly blog. You guys have an idea of what is acceptable. I’m looking for shots of the players walk, band, pep rally … family friendly stuff. Thanks.

Maybe someone will take a picture of that billy goat that hangs out in the circle area.

  3. djrebel Says:

Chris, send me a couple of your best when you can. I like to get them up before the game, but Sunday is good too.

    Thanks.

PA, this is unrelated to your initial post, but I have a nagging question that I would like to see if you have any insight to. Why aren’t these no-tv games such as this weekend’s at least not on pay-per-view? It seems like to me in the past that we at least had the opportunity to pay $30 through Directv or some other provider. Thanks for your help as always!

Butter, I have the same questions. Every other SEC team is available on ESPN GamePlan or some other pay-per-view, even South Carolina and Wofford, but no Rebs and Vandy. I would love to be able to watch the Rebs first SEC action of the year.

  8. tmh Says:

I too am frustrated with no PPV. No reason Vandy and Memphis both should not be provided.

  9. farley662 Says:

Ok, I’ll bite. Why y’all have a goat?

  10. Jimmy Barbee Says:

Yeah Farley, wondering that myself. Maybe its a sacrificial thing a Ole Miss lost and hotty toddlers take it out on the goat.

  11. djrebel Says:

Don’t know, but that picture’s two years old. He may be a lot bigger now.
