Just got the first quarter stats. An official 56 yards in penalties for Ole Miss.

Rebels held Vandy and forced a punt, and now take over at their 10 with 12:41 left in the quarter.

Rebels had 101 yards on 16 plays in the first quarter. Snead was 4-for-7 for 39 yards with a pick for a TD. Eason carried 4 times for 33 yards, and Bolden twice for 18.

On second-and-9 from the Ole Miss 34, Snead slips in the backfield, minus 8 yards.

Snead calls two timeouts in three plays. Rebels seem to be having trouble getting the play off in time. Several times the clock has just about expired. They have no more timeouts to save themselves with this half, and there’s 10:54 left. Third-and-14 from the Ole Miss 26 now.

Greg Hardy is in the game on this series.

Really nice play by Powe for a 2-yard loss on a Hawkins run on first down from the VU 26. Powe is looking quicker in this quarter. Hardy makes a stop of Nickson on a draw on third-and-8. VU to punt.

Snead just threw his second pick of the game, also grabbed by Ryan Hamilton. Snead was out of the pocket, under pressure and throwing off his back foot. He was looking for Hodge but the pass was weak and under thrown.

Vandy takes over at the Ole Miss 38.

Commodores cover 20 yards in five plays. Hahnfeldt hits a 34-yard field goal to tie the game at 17 at the half.

Very sloppy half of offense for Ole Miss. Not a bad defensive effort.

Ole Miss 17, Vanderbilt 17

looks like the “over-rated” chant may be in order for snead if he keeps this up

He hasn’t thrown a touchdown since the go-ahead points at Wake, but he’s thrown four picks in that time. Looks like he has a tendency to force things.
