Guys, probably won’t be a fourth-quarter update.

Rebels drove from their 21 to inside the 10 before stalling inside the 1. Eason tried to dive for the points but jumped way too soon. Looked like he jumped from the 3. Ryan Hamilton, who has 2 picks tonight, made the tackle.

Vandy started at its 1.

Great stand by the Ole Miss defense. Dores gain 2 yards then punt, but Marshay Green fumbles at the 50. Recovered by Ryan Hamilton, his third turnover gained tonight. Green was dancing around in traffic and kind of poked it out himself.

The team that makes the fewest mistakes usually wins, and it looks like Ole Miss is determined not to be that team.

Another good stand by the Ole Miss defense, and Vanderbilt punts it into the end zone. The Rebels’ defensive line is healthy and is playing like it.

Three-and-out for the offense, a 24-yard shank by Rob Park, and Vanderbilt is back at midfield with a fresh set of downs. 3:29 left in the third.

Mackenzie Adams is in. Vandy is going to its passing game.

A 13-yard pass completion and late hit against Johnny Brown puts Vandy at the 22.

Vandy converts third-and-6 from the 22 with a pass to the tight end for 10. First down at the 8.

Loss of 4 on a busted play, and the quarter ends. Vandy seems poised to take the lead, at least with a field goal. It’s third-and-goal from the 18.

Ole Miss 17, Vanderbilt 17

And to answer the GT question PA, no they are not. We just suck that bad.

Where you at JB? You’ll like the new pic of Aedan on the Van. Got on an OM shirt.

UNBELIEVABLE!!! I can’t believe we could make so many mistakes.

    Rebs lose 23-17.

It’s going to be a long season, most likely of the 0-8 SEC variety. Apparently it’s something we’ll have to get used to…

Why, hello mediocrity, long time no see…

He threw like 4 picks didn’t he?

What a sloppy game. Ole Miss may have gotten the big head a bit to quick. Total lack of focus. Give Vandy credit. There is not a coach in the SEC that gets more from his team than Bobby Johnson. These are the type of losses that make it awful tough to be a Rebel fan.

  11. flareb Says:

Was it me or did Ole Miss offense seem very predictable tonight? Maybe to the point that the coaches are starting to hone in on them. I will be at the swamp next weekend, lucky me!!! Maybe Gators will be flat from spanking Vols. Phil maybe in some trouble in Knoxhole.
Maybe there is some truth to learning how to win. McCluster fumble inside the five is inexcusable, not with the chance to tie the game on a field goal. That’s a mental error. Did Snead meet a future Miss America this past week? Not the same guy I saw at Wake.
Oh well, here’s hoping we don’t get our ass kicked at Gainesville, unfortunately that’s the state of OM football, just let me look respectable.

  12. oxfordrebel Says:

you’re right flareb, these are the toughest times to be a fan, but I don’t know why, we should be used to them now after almost 5 seasons of suckiness.

  13. Jimmy Barbee Says:

Farley after tonight’s game with Vandy might want to change his uniform again. I was watching FSU and Wake Forest. FSU didn’t look too good, so Miss State fans you have no reason to hang your heads over the Auburn game. FSU terrible on offense, good on defense.

For Ole Miss looks like another long and wishful season. Next week in Gainsville probably worse day than today.

  14. farley662 Says:

You’re good JB. Should be able to post.

  15. flareb Says:

Keep your head up…….You are right, I’m getting used to it. I guess you have to take baby steps. Something is happening in college football that I can’t explain. Look at the programs around the country that are mediocre at best, it’s amazing.

  16. farley662 Says:

You could be three steps lower than mediocre like we are fla. We are one of the worst in the country. It’s all Crxxms fault.
