FIRST QUARTER

Rebels go 3-and-out then stop the Gators at the Ole Miss 30 on fourth-and-3.

Lawon Scott and Emmanuel Stephens hit Tim Tebow and forced an incomplete pass. The Gators converted a fourth-and-1 from their 44 earlier in the drive. Gators took a shot downfield on their first play and missed. They tried the middle a couple of times, including third-and-1 from the 28 when Rainey was hit for a 2-yard loss.

Patrick Trahan started at one OLB today.

Rebels cover 70 yards in 10 plays in 4:24. Snead was 2-for-3 on the drive and scored on a 1-yard run wide left after faking a run in the middle. That was on second-and-goal.

The drive included a 15-yard gain on a fake punt on fourth-and-1 from the Ole Miss 39 when Jason Cook took the snap and pitched to Lionel Breaux, who took it around the left end. Big play was a 36-yard pass from Snead to Hodge to the Florida 1 on second-and-12 from the Gators 37. Justin Sparks’ kickoff killed the momentum when it went out of bounds and gave the Gators field position at the 40. The Gators are at the Ole Miss 12 with a first down now.
