FOOTBALL: Rebels receiving votes

Here’s the link to both polls. The Rebels got 13 votes in the AP Top 25 and one vote in the coaches poll. Duke also got one vote in the coaches poll. I wonder if Cutcliffe and Nutt just swapped votes.

Man, 3 huge games in a row. We’ve split so far, we really need to get to that 2-1 mark, and root for some SEC Eastern Division teams. I think after yesterday’s outcomes, it’s pretty safe to say the Beast of the East isn’t in the East at all….
We really need some wins from the East against the West in upcoming weeks though. The nice thing is, since our loss is to Vanderbilt, we can take care of ourselves from here out. Tons, and tons of football to play, and it could all go south this weekend, but it’s nice to know we aren’t mathematically eliminated from SEC contention after 2 conference games as we have been in the past. Ok, mathematically no, but we all knew what was coming in the past, this year, who knows… If we can win in Gainesville, we CAN PLAY with anybody. That doesn’t mean we WILL, but we do show that we have the ability and talent. Last year after losing to Florida, we went to Athens and laid a complete egg, we really need to get things done this weekend with Carolina struggling.

Maybe they did swap votes. Thats a great and noble thing for them to do. Both are classy gentlemen and football coaches. Not so, for Urban Meyer. The Rebels deserve those points for that courageous win over that #4 national ranked egoistical and snobbish team from Gainesville.

Now is the time for the Rebels to put that game behind them and move ahead. Seven games remain on the regular schedule. Four games at home; SC,Auburn, LA Monroe, and those nasty dawgs from St____ville. This should be problem for them. Three away, Alabama (gona be a tough one), Ark (should be no problem, LSU, this is revenge situation for OM and to take the strut out of that Bayou gang, putting total silence in Tiger Stadium. GO REBELS!!!!! JB

Is it possible that this game could be on on PPV?

  6. BirdZ! Says:

Congrats on the win in the swamp, guys. Don’t start putting thte cart before the horse, though. Still a long way to go.

I imagine the west will come down to LSU and Bama.

  7. bornarebel Says:

JB, is that the store in Tula?

  8. Jimmy Barbee Says:

Old Post Office and still there.

  9. Jimmy Barbee Says:

BirdZ, thanks for the advice, we will desperately try to get that horse and cart thing in its proper order.
