FOOTBALL: Run up the score? Columnist says yes

Interesting read here with Gregg Doyel’s take on Houston’s return to Arkansas. This was a talk radio topic tied into Houston’s return. The talk radio opinion is that Doyel doesn’t have his facts straight.

Running up the score may sound nice to some folks, but Ole Miss better concentrate on winning the game.

I have just had a change in “emotional highness , thoughts and a spiritual elation”, Coach Nutt please turn those Wild Rebels loose on that miss piggy bunch and try to score at the least 100 points. GO WILD REBELS!!!!!!

Check out our players’ enthusiasm early, I think you may see them more pumped up than the Hogs. If so, they can break this open. I can’t imagine they’ll be flat for this one. I’m still predicting only one more loss & it’s not to the Hogs.

Hey, KB here, check on “predictions.”
Hogs lose, rebels win. Jeaven Snead has a fantastic game, and Rebels play some great defense. and run the ball essentially. Call me!

On this topic, I agree with you PA, we need to focus on winning, not revenge. I think this will be a 1 possession game anyway.

What genius is picking all these TV games for these conferences? Raycom has picked 3 times this year games that have been absolute blowouts with point spreads of double digits going into them. Ala v. Ark (when they could have picked Ole Miss v. Vandy- a 1 possession outcome), Fla. v. Ark (when they could have picked Ole Miss v. USC – another 1 poss. outcome), and now today, UK v. UF. Give me a break….these guys are idiots. They know well in advance that there is going to be a huge spread on these games and the likelhood of an Ole Miss v. Florida upset is slim at best. If there are MULTIPLE games in the SEC with single digit point spreads that are competing with these over-matched games, why are they picking them????

What in the heck is going on with Wake? Riley Skinner was 5 for 8 for 57 yards in the game at Miami in which they lost 16-10. I think they threw it like 35 times against us. Nice job by Jim Grobe just folding that team up like a Coleman sleeper. They’ve got to have some internal issues.

Gators on a roll: 63 to 5 over Kentucky today.
