FOOTBALL: Tuesday practice update

Rebels threw us a curve and started early, so the 4-period open session of practice was reduced somewhat. However, the freshmen and newcomers will scrimmage at the end, and we may be able to watch a little of that.

On the injury front, fullback Jason Cook (concussion) was not dressed out, and end Greg Hardy (foot) was, though Hardy basically wasn’t doing anything. The team was in full gear, but in the DL group Hardy was off to the side on a knee while the others went through something as simple as a 1-on-1 drill against a sled.

More later.

Nice story on Hugh Freeze. I sure wish we had kept him at Ole Miss.

I agree, Mike, wish Coach Freeze could have stayed on with the Rebs.

i thought this was the one mistake nutt made when he took over. he should have kept coach freeze. the next time we need a head coach, we could do a lot worse than coach freeze.
