Time out at 10:57. Rebels lead 20-15. They had opened up a nine-point lead at 18-9, but SA is sticking with the zone, and the Rebels aren’t shooting them out of it. Warren hit his first shot but hasn’t done much since. Just missed an open 3 and a floater before that.
Just got a tech called on SA coach Ronnie Arrow. One may not be enough for him. Huertas hits two, no Graham at the line … for the play that got Arrow all riled up to begin with … and he hits 2. Rebels up 46-27 and 12-for-12 from the FT line.
8 points on 3 trips for Ole Miss. 2 3-pointers by Huertas, the second after a nice pump fake to get the defender to leap. Then Warren leads the break with a loose ball and throws a lob behind him to the trailing Holloway for the dunk.
Graham just scored a nice put-back with a tough rebound in traffic. He’s scored 14 points in a game he didn’t know he’d start 24 hours ago. The Rebels can replace Polynice’s scoring. The question is who will replace his defense, and that answer won’t come until deeper into the schedule against West Virginia or Louisville maybe.
How’s the crowd for the game? Sounds like an entertaining game if you like to see the Rebs score some points. I always have felt that the fans who skip these games before January miss out on learning about the guys who don’t start but that may be key if there are injuries or slumps later in the year.
I wish I lived in Miss. so I could see the games in person.
