    2 outta 3 ain’t bad! 🙂

Go Rebels. I don’t know anything about Juan Joseph, but I say that Peria Jerry wins it. He’s been dominate this year!

  2. Jimmy Barbee Says:

Peria Jerry: If it was up to my say-so he would definitely win the Conerly Trophy. He demonstrated outstandingly Saturday as defensive lineman in the game with LSU, as he has done all this season. Michael Oher another outstanding player on this great Ole Miss team.

Hope the Saints have their eye on these two great performers. They will be on NFL somewhere next season.

Don’t understand Oher. Jerry should easily win. The hype around Oher is because of the book.

  4. Bo Says:

    Farley,

I disagree. I don’t think a lot of Ole Miss fans even know about the book.

He’s a great player, it’s just that he isn’t “flashy”, for the lack of a better word. Peria Jerry can almost single-handedly take over a game. Oher will give you 100% and almost never give up a sack or get a penalty, but you’re not going to sit around and drool over his athleticism.

  5. Jimmy Barbee Says:

Farley how is the little guy doing today?

  6. va reb Says:

Jerry would be my pick but they are all good and all seserving.

  7. va reb Says:

Jerry would be my pick but they are all good and all deserving.

  8. ripleyreb Says:

To the average football fan, the only time they even notice an offensive lineman is if they screw up and draw a penalty. Oher has been a rock in the O line. The only reason I would vote for Oher over Jerry is because Michael could be a millionaire NFL lineman right now but chose to come back for his senior year and help the Rebels have an outstanding year.

  9. Bacchus815 Says:

Juan Joseph would start for any team in MS aside from Ole Miss. Without a shadow of a doubt.

  10. Barry Spencer Says:

What book are ya’ll talking about?

  11. farley662 Says:

Alot of OM fans don’t even have a clue what position he plays either. They just know the name.

  12. farley662 Says:

We came home today JB. He seems to be doing really well.

  13. va reb Says:

Farley, don’t believe Oher would be an Outland Trophy finalist if all he had going for him was the book. He is an outstanding player.

PA, you doing a Predictions post this week? I’m headed to the future in-laws tonight and will be without internet and ESPN gameday package until Friday evening when we get back. Got the DVR set to record the eggbowl Friday. I’m shutting the blackberry off on Friday around gametime. It will take all my willpower not to check in on the blog to get updates on the score. I’m betting that the Ole Miss vs. MS State score won’t be airing on the radio in North Wilkesboro, NC.

  15. Jimmy Barbee Says:

That very good to hear Farley, hope you and family can now have a Happy Thanksgiving. Wishing all out there a Happy Thanksgiving.

  16. ripleyreb Says:

Hey Barry, the book Farley is referring to is titled “The Blind Side”. It is a really good read.

  17. djrebel Says:

Wow, Raleigh, I forgot about the predictions post. With everything running a day ahead, that should come today. Look for that later today. I’ll see if I can get it up when I’m in the basketball work room.
