FOOTBALL: Change on The SEC Beat

Houston Nutt will not be available for the The Sec Beat as posted here earlier. He’s had something come up, we’ve been told. We hope to have Nutt next week. We will have Brandon George, a sports writer for the Dallas Morning News, who covers Texas Tech.

PA, I’d be interested in hearing what Coach Nutt would say about our strategy for stopping the TT spread. How much do they try to duplicate what OU did against TT; do they study the film of the OU game? Thanks, John

Perhaps he’s taking his family on a shopping spree or renting an armored truck to carry all of his money around.

  6. Chad Says:

I am a Rebel fan. I just have a hard time comprehending a possible million dollar a year raise. Maybe you see that kind of money all the time, but I think that is a lot of money.

“Change on The SEC Beat”. Noted that Miss State has lost one of it starting QB’s due to transfer. We do not know just how many other State football players have jumped ship recently. The Miss State sports programs/systems definitely have major problems somewhere within leadership responsibility. The Baseball and now the football, a collapse. Football can be lightly understood, but not the baseball program. State baseball has alway represented itself in the highest standard of national winning competition. Waiting now to see how the basketball season will go. I don’t mean to be critical or cutting down Miss State athletics, or the University, but stating concern. Who am I? Just an old AF retiree from Mississippi and have an interest in sporting and political activities going on within the State.
