word is RK stepping in six months

  2. colreb420 Says:

    down sorry

  3. Raleighrebel Says:

Yeah, pBeez mentioned that in the blog below. I just got a mass email sent out by the University saying that he’ll step down June 30th of this year, so I guess it’s official. I guess you aren’t covering that search PA?

Any particular reason for RK leaving? Good article. I think Nutt is good at coaching up, but hopefully he can start recruiting a little better and still coach up. I think we have an above average recruiting class. Looks like we definately have some sleepers, but we need to start adding some more 4/5 stars if we want to consistently be a contender for winning the West.

PA, have you noticed Rishaw Johnson much during the practices? Any word on how he is developing?

  5. Raleighrebel Says:

He doesn’t mention why he’s leaving in the email.

  6. Charles Says:

Pete Boone for Chancellor. Haha, jk.

Thought you guys would find this interesting. They have Ole Miss preseason ranked 11 next. What do you guys think?

  8. JG Says:

    11 next year. Sorry

Raleigh, I”m glad to say I won’t be a part of the chancellor search.

Charles, I saw Rishaw looking good at different times through the season. Except for Sowell a little bit, none of those young guys really played. I know they like Rishaw and Alex Washington.

I think Markuson showed this season he can “coach em up,” but they’re going to lack experience until they play. They’ve got two spots to fill on the line, three of John Jerry decides to turn pro.

Maybe y’all can get rid of Pete and get the Colonel back on the sidelines.

Love the picture of AK up top declaring Jihad on cab drivers everywhere.

  11. Charles Says:

You’re right in that you just can’t replicate game time experience, but at least these O-line guys will have one of the best D-lines in the country to practice against.

Hopefully John Jerry does come back. I can see his draft stock really soaring if he gets one more year under his belt.

  12. JakeFuryReb Says:

I remember hearing the only reason John Jerry wanted to be evaluated for the draft was to see how much work he needed to do his senior season. Isn’t that right?

  13. Charles Says:

Yeah, that’s what I heard as well Jake, but there’s always the chance that they come back with a really high evaluation which means money in the bank.

If he comes back next year, he could be a very high pick. I would think he would have a lot to gain by another season. From what the article above says, he needs to cut a little weight so he can have more endurance. Same goes for Powe, if he can shed 20 or so pounds this offseason, he will be a beast, not that he already isn’t.
