HOOPS: Scouting Alabama

That was assistant coach Michael White’s job for tomorrow night’s SEC matchup in Tuscaloosa.

“They’re not great from behind the arc, but they’re very good on the interior. That UCLA high post offense has been good to Mark (Gottfried) for a long time. They’re good in transition if you don’t get back. They’re athletic. Their front line is young, just like us.”

They’re wounded almost like Ole Miss. The Crimson Tide is expected to be without point guard Ronald Steele (heel) for the second straight game. The first one didn’t go so good, an 85-71 loss at Auburn Saturday.

I think that the Rebels should let it all hang out and play basketball. Use the running and shooting thing, a few good sharp elbows in under the basket, just to let them know that your are aggressive and that you are Ole Miss. Send a message down to State, as a reminder, that two of your defeats this season was at the hands of the Ole Miss Rebels. GO REBELS!!!

Put some oil on the floor before the game so some of them might slip and fall to. Lets don’t just stop with elbows JB. Do we have anyone on the team that knows how to handle a gun?

Steele’s quitting basketball. Don’t know if it’s been mentioned over here or not.
