I just can’t picture him at K-state. Someone needs to ask him if he really wants to wear PURPLE every saturday.

If we pull Cotton, which I think we do without a doubt now, you can look for us to get Patterson as well. I hear that they really buddied up after the season was over.
Also, word is that O and Wilson had an in-home with J. Hornsby and that he’s close to switching to UT. I really hope that he sticks with us though, he could jump in and play early when Lewis is gone after this coming season.

Oxfordrebel: You’re right O and Wilson are all over Ms trying to steal recruits. We always knew O and Wilson were awesome recruiters. I hope they don’t pull people away from OM.

If Jamar Hornsby stays with us, he’ll be starting next year. He was a 5 star out of high school and saw playing time very early at UF. He’s the real deal. I really hope the coaches stay on him to be a Rebel. UT just had their visit yesterday or the day before. I feel like he would have gone ahead and switched on the spot if he wanted to change. I’m sure they have a great sales pitch, but UT has no qb/offensive production. Hornsby only has a couple of years of eligibility remaining. Wouldn’t you think he’d want to go to a program that has a shot at a BCS game next year?
Also, if you look at UT’s safety depth chart, they have Eric Berry and Demetrice Morley, both of whom are former 5 stars and have proven themselves in college. Berry will be gone after next year, but he could be starting this year at Ole Miss. Don’t get me wrong, Johnny Brown and Kendrick Lewis are great players, but Hornsby would move ahead of them on the depth chart.

Charles, the guy is good, but I don’t think Johnny and Kendrick would go down without a fight. It would just add to competition, which makes for better performance on the field.
Let’s just say, if we land Cotton, Patterson, and Hornsby, the Rebels will be stacked for the next 4 years.

And doesn’t it sound crazy to say 2010? When I was growing up, I never thought that it would be 2009. What happened to all the flying cars and spaceships? lol 😀

ive got a prediction… if we dont get any of our big named recruits which we will get several but if not id still say watch out bcs the old ole miss rebels are back….

we have a good core coming back and should be fine next year it is crazy how all these people are making all this money with these recruiting services even though none of these kids have played a down in college its hilarius and also all these guys rating these players have probably never played or coached a down of college ball !!!! wow

Those guys sure do a good job at evaluating those players though. I never understand why somone would have to coach or play college ball to understand the game better. Mike Leach didn’t play college football. Hall of Fame coach George Allen never played college ball. Don’t knock guys for not playing college football and still being able to make money evaluating players at a high level.

They are wrong just as many times as they are right these kids have to be coached and taken care of only time tells if they are suceessful in academics and athletics no one can predict how a seveteen year old will respond good coaching and being a good “father figure” is what its about Hdn is good at both so he will mold whatever players he gets into youngmen.

You also got to consider that he would be coached by one of the greatest of all times in bill snyder if he was to go to kansas state. Ksu has a knack of making mediocre Qbs into something to talk about!
