Put two people on Jodie Meeks at all times. I think he had 54 against Tenn. Good luck Rebs!

I tried to post a recollection of the Jan 28, 1987 (but the date may have been Jan 13, 1982 instead) KY vs OM game in Oxford when winter percipation had disrupted the KY team travel. I recall having seen the game on TV in Huntsville, AL. The Rebels beat KY in that game. Could that happen again with this injury depleted team. Anybody else recall that one?

The only way we have a chance of slowing them down is playing a box and 1 with the guard out top playing helpside D when meeks is on their side. We really need terrico to play. So is there any chance he plays?

Country….I remember an Ole Miss-Kentucky game that we won. Roger Stieg was our center. It snowed about 6 inches during the game. I had promised Roger a party at my house after the game if they won. We had to haul people to my house in pickups from the coliseum. It was a great night. I’m pretty sure it was 82. Because I wasn’t in Oxford in 87.

countrygrahamfan, yes I remember it. There was several inches of snow on the ground and roads. What normally took one hour to drive home took two and a half hours, but it was worth it. Cold outside, but is was a hot night in the Tad Pad. Had to be 1982 because Sean Toughy played a big part in that big upset. You never know, we might get an upset win tonight. Make Kentucky blue—GO REBS

I checked some personal notes from my work during the period and I can now say for certainty that it was the 1982 date. I haven’t checked the media guide closely enough to be certain but I think that may have been the first time in 10 plus years that we had won over KY. BTW, I had mis read the weather advisory for N Mississippi (the possibility of frozen percipitation is for tomorrow, not today) which prompted my memory of that game from the past. Ole Miss won that game 67 – 65.

  8. ColoradoReb Says:

Maybe Meeks will stump his toe on the way in and won’t be able to play. I think thats all the hope we got. rebel2011 needs to be a coach- I was talking to a friend last night who coaches hs ball and he said the same thing rebel2011. Make em’ shoot from outside, way outside.
