FYI: Thursday morning links

Nathan Baker picked up the the win in relief, and Scott Bittle got his third save as the Rebels downed Memphis 7-4 in non-conference action Wednesday night at Swayze Field.

Ole Miss gets back in SEC play this weekend at home against Alabama.

Speaking of the Tide, looks like it has some pop in the lineup this year. Alabama set a school home run record earlier this week against Alabama A&M. The Tide won twice against previously unbeaten and eighth-ranked Georgia to open SEC play last weekend.

In the print edition we wrapped up men’s basketball with an opinion piece.

There will be a lot of scenes to watch with this team in the off-season, rehabs to keep an eye on with Trevor Gaskins, Eniel Polynice and Chris Warren, the mending of a knee with Terrico White that will not require surgery and the knee of Zach Graham that will.

    what about david?

  2. djrebel Says:

I heard a rumor that David might not return, but I’ve not confirmed that. From what I’ve heard he’s close to a degree, and I think that’s important to him. If he stays I don’t think his foot will be an issue. It was a deep bruise, but those things tend to heal with time. I don’t think David will leave, but sometimes these guys leave anyway.

    PA,
If David left, what would his reasons and realistic options be?
    NBA draft, another school, Europe???

  4. djrebel Says:

Raven, I heard that in passing the other day and didn’t give it much credence. The reason would have been to play professionally. I don’t think he’s leaving.

Looks like the Rebs are settling in and playing good baseball. Hope they take care of the Tide this weekend.

It will be a good challenge Larry. Looks like Alabama has a pretty good offensive team.
